City Council of Dripping Springs Regular Meeting
The City Council held a regular meeting to conduct a public hearing and review a variance request for the Headwaters East commercial development. The key discussion topics included a request to reduce on-site parking requirements for the development, with the developer arguing that current ordinance requirements are outdated and that the site's parking should be viewed holistically. Staff provided a report recommending approval, contingent upon the inclusion of adequate pedestrian connections. The Planning and Zoning Commission shared details from their previous review of the item, noting the applicant's agreement to safety conditions and the project's adherence to development criteria compared to other local projects. The meeting also included an open public hearing for community input regarding the variance.
