Meade County Planning Board Planning Meeting
The Board addressed multiple variance requests. One request involved an encroachment for a large building on a residential lot, which was denied after the Board determined there was insufficient hardship. A second request concerned a variance from the minimum 40-acre parcel size requirement for a property owner seeking to build a primary dwelling and pole barn, noting that the parcel size fell below the threshold due to existing highway right-of-way boundaries.

Meade County Planning Board Planning Board Meeting
The board meeting addressed several agenda items, including the approval of final plats for Lot 1A, Lot 1B, and the well lot of the Backer subdivision, as well as the final plat of lots 1 and 2 of Whitewood Valley Scenic View Estates. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a variance request concerning Ordinance 33, specifically regarding the requirement for an ATU (Aerobic Treatment Unit) wastewater system on a commercial property. The applicant argued for the use of a conventional septic system based on the soil percolation test results and the nature of their operations, questioning the necessity of the ATU requirement for their specific property.
