City Council of New Fab Regular Meeting
The meeting focused on the reappointment of members to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the adoption of legislative priorities for the upcoming Texas legislative session. The council discussed the adoption of the 2024 International Fire Code, including the creation of a fire marshal position and the use of contracted services. Several concerns regarding specific ordinance language, including penalty structures, access control requirements, and definitions of objectionable situations, were raised by council members. Consequently, the council deliberated on whether to postpone the adoption of these fire safety regulations to allow for further clarification and refinement of the text.
