Arlington County Board of Equalization Hearings
The Board of Equalization discussed the valuation of a specific property recently sold and approved for adaptive reuse. The discussion centered on whether the assessment correctly valued the property as an office building or as an apartment conversion project. Arguments were presented regarding the appropriate valuation methodology, including the consideration of potential future use, the costs associated with converting the existing office structure into residential space, and whether the shell of the building should be assessed differently based on its current condition.
