Billerica Senior Center Elevator Modernization Consultant (Request for Proposals)

Description: The selected independent elevator consultant or qualified design team will evaluate the existing hydraulic passenger elevator, machine room, hoistway, pit, landings, cab, controls, electrical service, and fire alarm interfaces to document existing conditions, code deficiencies, and accessibility requirements. The consultant will prepare an independent code and condition assessment, recommended replacement/reuse schedule, construction budget, downtime schedule, and manufacturer-neutral drawings and specifications for hydraulic equipment, controllers, door equipment, fixtures, and emergency lowering. Additionally, the scope includes defining all associated electrical, fire alarm, HVAC, and building work, preparing bid-ready technical documents and independent cost estimates, assisting during the bidding process, participating in site visits, reviewing technical bids, and providing construction administration services including milestone site visits and physical attendance at the final state inspection.
